Derek spent the last decade financing private operating companies within Western Canada in support of their growth and investments.

Prior to Crete Capital, Derek was a Director and Team lead at a firm focused on financing commercial real estate, specializing in the industrial asset class.

Her background varies across credit risk management, deal structuring and leadership, resulting in over $1B in financing completed over her tenured career.

Fai holds a MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman Business School with a focus in Finance & Business Management and has held senior level positions such as AVP and team lead functions for two major Canadian banks.
